See below for important dates for the upcoming 2026 season.
1. Registration opens Feb. 1st and closes Feb. 21 for U11 to U19. LTP 1 & 2 and U9 will remain open until April 4th.
New this year. A $10 tournament volunteer fee will be added to each family from U11 to U17 for the BVSA tournament. We have struggled the past 3 years to get volunteers to properly have the tournament run smoothly. This year we are going to use the $10 volunteer money to hire workers for the tournament. If a parent volunteers, we will refund them their $10. But this year there will be no pressure on teams to supply volunteers.
2. Evaluations for U11 to U19 "A" will start Mar. 9 till 19. There will be 2 evaluation days for all (except U19 will be 1), and an extra for pitchers and catchers. Evaluation days and times will be emailed by March 1 or sooner.
3. Tryouts for "AA" Winnipeg Bolts will start March 20 till 26. There will also be 2 days of tryouts for U11 to U17 (possibly 3 for some age groups). More information on the Bolts tryouts will come out later.
4. Indoor practices for "A" U11 to U19 will start April 6th. Teams will be formed by March 29th.
5. Tournaments.....
BVSA tournament - May 22 to 24. All BVSA teams will be participating.
CRSL Championships - All teams in the CRSL are in this tournament and seeded. - NO COST TO TEAMS
U11 June 19-21 - Ile Des Chenes
U13 June 26-28 - Ile Des Chenes
U15 July 3 - 5 - Varsity View
U17/U19 July 3 -5 - Ile Des Chenes
Softball MB Provincial Tournament - OPTIONAL FOR TEAMS
U11 June 26 - 28 - Buhler
U13 July 3 - 5 - Buhler
U15 July 10 - 12 - Winkler
U17 July 10 - 12 - Steinbach
U19 July 24 - 26 - Riel Park
6. Umpire clinics will be held beginning of April. We encourage people to sign up for this opportunity. BVSA has committed this year to pay for the first 10 from BVSA to sign up for the clinic and will provide those with an umpire essentials kit (ball bag, brush, and counter). More info to come.
7. COACH'S CLINIC. Not everyone knows if they will be coaching this year, but BVSA is holding a Softball MB clinic in our area on May 9th from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Louis Riel Art and Technology Center. BVSA will pay for all Bonivital coaches, so when you register, do not pay. To be able to play in provincials, one coach MUST have the Coach's
